  26. o  does not try to simulate a real calculator: For
  27.    example, it does not have an "=" button. The
  28.    notation of the formulas is like in a programming
  29.    language. Nevertheless, there is a calculator-like
  30.    mouse interface.

  32. o  is Shareware. Without registration key, you will
  33.    get an info screen at the beginning - there's no
  34.    other limitation. New in version 2.9 are regression
  35.    (reg button) and new programmers functionality
  36.    (prg button).

  38. o  recalculates the result after every keystroke. You
  39.    have an entry field and a separate result field. If
  40.    a formula is incomplete or erroneous, pmCalc will
  41.    display a detailed error message instead of the
  42.    result. You can choose between different output

  83. your harddisk into a directory of your choice. You can
  84. make a program object on your desktop using the program
  85. template in your template folder. If you want to have
  86. pmCalc colored, also copy COLORSMP and type into the
  87. program object settings notebook parameter field:

  91. Please notice that a second "PMCALC" exists. PMCALC.ZIP
  92. is an IBM employee written software, Tim Baldwin, U.K.
  93. Tim Baldwin's PMCALC imitates a real pocket calculator.

  95. in the zip file name, Baldwin's is not.

  112. o  hat nicht echte Taschenrechner als Vorbild. So gibt es
  113.    etwa keine "=" Taste. Stattdessen gibt man Formeln
  114.    entsprechend der Schreibweise von Programmiersprachen
  115.    ein. Trotzdem gibt es die Möglichkeit, wie beim echten
  116.    Taschenrechner entsprechend Tasten zu drücken.

  148.    Formeln dauerhaft abspeichern.

  150. o  hat eine eingebaute Hypertext Hilfe. Drücken Sie auf help
  151.    und dann auf den Knopf oder in das Eingabefeld, das Sie
  152.    erklärt haben möchten. Sie können aber auch einfach nur
  153.    F1 drücken. Zweimaliges Drücken auf help zeigt das
  154.    Inhaltsverzeichnis an.

  156. o  rechnet intern mit Fließkommavariablen "double", so daß
  157.    Sie 15 gültige Stellen erhalten.

  159. o  hat eine eingebaute Pentium-Fehlerkorrektur; die Überläufe
  160.    werden auch beim dahingehend fehlerhaften Pentium II

  166. Spielen Sie einfach pmCalc.exe, pmCalc_G.hlp und last20.txt
  167. auf Ihre Festplatte in irgendein Verzeichnis. Erstellen Sie
  168. über den Schablonenordner ein Programmobjekt "pmCalc", tragen
  169. den Programmnamen incl. Verzeichnis und bei Parameter "deutsch"
  170. ein. Wenn Sie einen farbigen pmCalc haben möchten, kopieren
  171. Sie noch COLORSMP und tragen als weiteren Parameter ein:
  172. "color:COLORSMP"

  175. Ich möchte darauf hinweisen, daß es einen zweiten "PMCALC" gibt,
  176. und zwar eine IBM employee written software, Tim Baldwin, U.K.
  177. Baldwins Taschenrechner ist eine Nachbildung eines echten
  178. Taschenrechners. Um die beiden unterscheiden zu können, werde
  179. ich immer die Versionsnummer in den Namen der Zip-Datei
  180. schreiben.
